Tonight we wrapped up the Journey Retreat. It was a good week and my entire group is going home different than when they came. We worked hard as a group looking at Story. I love story work because when a story is looked at and themes and events that surround the story are unpacked, clarity is found. Open Hearts Ministry is not a ministry that encourages people to live in the past. Actually it is very different than that. It is not uncommon to ask someone if it is life-giving to choose to stay a victim in a situation or what lie is being believed when someone chooses silence?
