I really like my new set of words. It was comforting to read these words every day when I was leading the Journey Group. It was pretty clear that there was going to be a place when I would see courage practiced in myself or others and I would catch myself thinking “why hello courage!”
Today I saw the same words and I wanted to tuck it away in my Journey box until October for the next Journey Retreat. I realized that I would like to ensure that every day I am practicing something that takes courage and/or also affirming courage that I see in others.
I would like to be able to say at the end of each day that I was able to greet courage in some fashion.
As I entered back into my routine today, I kept an eye open for courage. I was pleased to be able to greet courage today in the gym when my trainer invited me to a number of plyometric exercises.
I was able to greet courage today when Steve came to the office and kept smiling even when his day had encountered numerous hurdles.
I was able to greet courage when my friend Mike went shopping for new clothes, not having a clue what his new size would be….(and it was significantly smaller than what he was wearing!)
I wonder where you were able to greet courage today?
I wonder where you might greet courage tomorrow? When you see my friend courage, be sure to say hello courage….it gives a real purpose to the place you see courage arrive!
