Tonight, I want to share a bit about my nephew Andrew! Today, on his 27th birthday, we celebrate his life and all he brings to improve our world. Andrew has packed his years full, and as he begins a new year, that doesn’t seem to be changing!
Andrew has always given 200% to whatever he engages in. From backyard play to team sports and from school to scholarships, Andrew has shown us the benefits of personal discipline and commitment to doing his best.
Andrew is kind and compassionate, curious about what is new in my world and how I am doing. He values family and cares about what fills our lives. Andrew is brilliant and loves the classroom. He has mastered high school and excelled at the United States Naval Academy. After a short stint of returning to teach at Annapolis, he is now using his excellent mind and heart in law school.
Andrew always smiles, but his joy seems deeply rooted since meeting and marrying Elle. I am excited to see their lives unfold together in their careers and as they develop as a couple and family in the coming years.
It is a sheer joy to watch you continue to grow into your adult self, Andrew. I am proud of you and will always love you because of who you are, not because of all you have accomplished, no matter how impressive all of that is! You are a gift to our family and our world. I am grateful for your heart of faith, faithfulness, and compassion and for how you engage the struggles of others. You make this aunt of yours so very proud!
