A little bit about me…..

I am a woman who strives to balance my tenderness and strength in order to “show up” well! In my day-to-day I am a daughter, sister, niece, aunt, friend, manager, social worker and business owner. I struggle and I celebrate everyday. I hope to document my story for myself, my family and friends, my nieces and nephews and for other journey mates who may also understand that every day includes struggle and the celebration. I delight in my family (all 25 of them), friends, and community!

I realize that I am journeying through some pretty significant places in my life right now….turning 40, realizing that seeking God does not always mean finding Him and so grateful that finding Him still gives me a sense of amazement. i recognize that God is calling for transformation of my heart and in that process I am shedding extra weight and discovering and uncovering my body….I enjoy the mystery of each day more than the predictability and I love the way life unfolds in the most unexpected of ways.

  1. Trish,
What a beautiful picture of you! Sounds like you’re in some kind of weight program. Good for you but remember…those of us who know/knew you, we know you are beautiful no matter what you weigh!

  2. Hi Trish!
How good to see your face and read your thoughts again! Glen VanAndel & I connected on Friday….in Lynden….and he shared your blog with me. How great! This is so YOU! And it reminds me of all the things I treasure about you….deep thoughts, an insightful & compassionate heart, crazy busy schedule (how do you do all this?!)…..and the importance of staying connected with your family & friends. You inspire!

One final thought: A ropes course is something everyone should do…..at least once in their lifetime. I highly recommend them….however….I will never participate in one again!

  3. Hi Trish. I discovered your blog just yesterday and already it has been such an inspiration to me! Even though you don’t know me (or me you), thanks for being an inspiration. It is so uplifting to sense your positive attitude and peace through your writings and gain from what you have learned (and are learning) and experience in life. x

  4. Hi Trish,
This is Sue (Evenhuis) Wiegers. How excited I am to come across your blog. As I was reading a few of them my heart was filled with wonderful memories of our friendship in high school. I would love to reconnect.
