Raw Grief…

I have very few words tonight…

My oldest brother died yesterday….

Killed in a car crash….

My heart feels shattered….

Marcia has lost her husband, a man she fought for, adored, laughed with and loved….

Olivia (16), Noah (14), Sonta (13) and Jean Marc (9) have lost their adored Daddy…

My parents have lost their son, Aunt Dot has lost her nephew, we have lost a brother, the kids have lost an uncle who loved to tease them and make them laugh…

I’m very sorry to read this…. a father to 4, a husband … such a loss. Prayers for all of you….

  2. Dear Trish,
Your Dad Peter serves on the Executive Committee of the World Communion of Reformed Churches and in particular he is a member of the Communications Core Group that I moderate. So often Peter would introduce himself as being a proud father and grandfather as he so dearly loved all his children and grandchildren.
My prayers and thoughts are with the entire family as you grieve for and remember Leonard Hugh on the Christmas day. May the blessing and peace of the Christ Child be with you all and may Leonard’s soul rest in peace.

  3. We fee so for your entire family. You will all be forever changed. I pray for you in the days, and even years ahead and all that you will have to process within yourselves. May God walk beside you on this journey.

  4. Trish,
With all those who love and treasure your family, we are carrying your grief in our hearts, and placing you before the throne of grace that God’s mercy and kindness may soothe your broken hearts. The loss of your brother and Peter and Janet’s son is terrible beyond words. May God hold each of you tenderly.
