I have always blogged at night and it has become a part of my routine. Last night I was spent and tired and kindness to myself was to consider my options. I made a commitment to blog every day this year so that I can have a story of God’s presence, goodness and provision. I have enjoyed being true to that commitment AND I chose to realize that if I blogged last night or this morning, I am going to be true to my commitment either way. I slept so good and realize again that to fight for the hearts of others is like going to war….and as I experience hearts being discovered, I am thankful.
There is a thought that has been with me all week. It is specific to those of us who have surrendered our hearts and lives to Jesus and live knowing we will spend eternity with our Creator. It is how evil still attacks us because evil will surrender us for eternity in order to have us for our life on earth.
I believe in the power of Jesus AND I often forget about the battle of good and evil. I recognize this week again where evil tries to claim our joy, our peace, our truth with lies of the enemy. Lies that say I am not enough, I don’t have what it takes, I will never experience deep Joy….
I pray that in my life and in each of yours, we will reclaim today what we know and believe and that we will recognize the presence of evil which tries to steal our joy, our peace, our truth and battle that with the truth we claim for eternity!
Go today with the confidence the battle has been won and embrace and celebrate the freedom we have claimed.
